The Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Sustainability Week Committee at the university, organized an educational and developmental initiative under the supervision of (Assistant Instructor Haider Karrar Hussein, Assistant Instructor Ali Naji Radi, and Assistant Instructor Ali Abbas Mohammed) on Sunday, April 12, 2026, titled: "Enhancing Academic Identity and Spreading Scientific and Technical Awareness through Knowledge Media," under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi. ​The initiative highlighted the pivotal role of defining the department's professional identity in protecting and educating students and staff by providing accurate information about the department's activities and achievements in the fields of sustainable energy and resource conservation. It focused on the importance of keeping pace with technological developments, promoting knowledge culture, and building a supportive educational environment that contributes to developing students' skills by showcasing specialized workshops and training programs. ​This step came as part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance scientific awareness and highlight the contributions of specialized departments in building a sustainable future, in line with the university's strategic vision and within the "Sustainability Week" activities.
