Two female lecturers from the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies at the Engineering Technical College of Al-Mustaqbal University, Assistant Lecturer Riam Rasheed Fashakh and Noor Al-Huda Halim Tawfiq, conducted a case study to evaluate the efficiency of thermal insulation in university buildings on 31/03/2026 within the university campus. The study aimed to improve the educational environment and enhance student comfort. This study was carried out using a scientific methodology based on designing a digital questionnaire via Google Forms. It covered several aspects, including classroom temperature, ventilation and lighting quality, air conditioning efficiency, and the impact of these factors on student concentration, in addition to collecting their development suggestions. The data was analyzed using Google Sheets, relying on descriptive analysis to obtain accurate results. The study was initiated based on preliminary observations that indicated high temperatures and poor ventilation in some classrooms, which negatively affect students’ academic performance and increase energy consumption. The results showed that the majority of students experience poor thermal comfort, emphasizing the importance of improving thermal insulation. This study contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by improving the learning environment, and Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by reducing energy consumption. Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, reaffirms its commitment to supporting scientific research and developing a sustainable and advanced educational environment.
