The Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Sustainability Week Committee at the university, organized an awareness and developmental campaign under the supervision of (Teaching Assistant Haider Karrar Hussein, Teaching Assistant Ali Naji Radi, and Asst. Lect. Zahraa Ibrahim Mahdi) on Sunday, April 12, 2026, titled: "The Importance of Life Below Water and Preserving Marine Biodiversity," under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi. ​The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of environmental awareness in protecting aquatic ecosystems, focusing on presenting comprehensive information about marine biodiversity and the importance of preserving coral reefs and marine habitats. It also clarified the negative impacts of pollution and overfishing on marine life, aiming to promote a preventive culture and build a university environment conscious of its responsibility toward nature. ​This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance environmental awareness and showcase the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future.
