The Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Sustainability Week Committee, organized an awareness and developmental campaign under the supervision of (Teaching Assistant Ali Naji Radi, Teaching Assistant Haider Karrar Hussein, and Teaching Assistant Narjis Faris Hadi) on Sunday, April 12, 2026, titled: "The Impact of Telecommunication Networks on the Environment and the Importance of Responsible Technology Use," under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi. ​The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of technical and environmental awareness, focusing on clarifying the environmental impact of communication towers and network devices, such as energy consumption and their effects on wildlife. It also provided guidelines on the optimal use of technology and reducing emissions to promote a preventive culture and build a sustainable university environment. ​This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance environmental awareness and showcase the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future.
