As part of the Sustainability Week activities and under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the University's Sustainability Week Committee, organized an awareness and developmental campaign on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. ​The campaign, titled "Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Importance of Their Integration into Society," was held under the supervision of (Teaching Assistant Ali Naji Radhi, Teaching Assistant Haider Karrar Hussein, and Teaching Assistant Shams Saleem Abbas). ​The campaign highlighted the pivotal role of social and humanitarian awareness, focusing on providing educational information regarding the rights of persons with disabilities in education, employment, and effective community participation. It also emphasized ways to provide a supportive environment that ensures equality and non-discrimination, while promoting high human and moral values to foster a preventive culture and build a university environment based on solidarity and inclusion. ​This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance social responsibility and highlight the contributions of scientific departments in building a sustainable future.
