Student Innovation Shines on Day Two of Sustainability Week at Al-Mustaqbal University

Al-Mustaqbal University, the first among private universities in Iraq, launched innovative projects presented by students of the Technical Engineering College as part of the second day of the Fourth International Future Sustainability Week 2026, in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, at the Future Energy Research Center. The event, held in 2026 on the university campus, featured the presentation of a range of student projects that reflected their creative capabilities in renewable energy, environmental protection, and green buildings, in addition to specialties in mechatronics, cybersecurity, information technology, and communications, in line with the requirements of sustainable development and digital transformation. The University President emphasized the importance of supporting young talents and transforming their ideas into practical applications that serve society and strengthen the knowledge economy, praising the efforts of the academic staff in supervising these projects. The event also witnessed wide academic attendance and participation from private sector companies and the Oil Research and Development Center. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), reinforcing the university’s leadership in supporting innovation and linking education with labor market needs.
