A case study was presented by the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department, Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Hashim Kareem, and researcher Noor Al-Huda Halim Tawfiq on Monday, 13/02/2026, at the Energy Research Center at Future University. The study addressed the use of artificial intelligence techniques—particularly the genetic algorithm—to improve university resource management. The study aimed to demonstrate how complex scheduling problems can be addressed by inputting data, generating initial solutions, and evaluating them to ultimately select the optimal schedule. This approach helps reduce conflicts, save time and effort, and enhance administrative efficiency. This activity comes within the framework of supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), through the adoption of smart solutions that contribute to the development of the educational environment. Future University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, reaffirms its ongoing commitment to strengthening scientific research and applying modern technologies in ways that enhance the quality of education and keep pace with global developments.
