Rivers and beaches are among the most important natural resources granted to humans by God. They are a vital source of water and life, and they also serve as a natural and aesthetic environment that brings comfort and relaxation. However, these resources are currently threatened by pollution and neglect, which makes their protection and preservation essential. Rivers are highly important as they are a primary source of drinking water and agriculture, as communities rely on them for irrigating crops and producing food. Beaches, on the other hand, are important tourist and economic attractions, in addition to their role in protecting land from erosion. Therefore, maintaining their cleanliness and sustainability is a shared responsibility for everyone. One of the main causes of river and beach pollution is the random disposal of waste, industrial wastewater discharge, and the irresponsible use of plastic materials. This pollution not only affects the natural beauty but also threatens living organisms and contributes to the spread of diseases. To protect these resources, environmental awareness must be promoted among society members, encouraging them not to throw waste into rivers or onto beaches. Authorities should also enforce strict laws to reduce pollution, treat wastewater before discharge, and organize regular cleaning campaigns. Individuals can also contribute by reducing plastic use, practicing recycling, and participating in environmental activities. Even small positive actions can make a significant difference in protecting the environment. In conclusion, preserving rivers and beaches is not an option but a necessity, as they are essential to our lives and future. Through awareness and cooperation, we can ensure that these natural blessings are preserved for future generations. Fatima Maki. Al Mustaqbal University The First University In Iraq
