The engineer in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries, Ahmed Abbas Muhammad, wrote an article entitled (Treating corrosion in pipes). The content of the article was: Treating corrosion in pipes is a process that aims to remove corrosion and deposits resulting from changes in the properties of materials or the environment surrounding the pipes. Corrosion in pipes can be the result of factors such as chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion, electrical corrosion, biological corrosion, stress corrosion, or thermal corrosion.

Pipe corrosion treatment processes include several steps, such as atomization, corrosion detection, and corrosion removal. Different materials and techniques are used to carry out these steps, such as the use of chemical solvents, ultrasound examination, and X-ray examination
