Artificial intelligence plays a fundamental role in enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of DNA analysis . Artificial intelligence techniques such as machine learning and artificial neural networks allow processing of huge amounts of genetic data at high speed and accuracy. These capabilities help accurately determine genetic sequences, reducing the possibility of human errors and increasing the reliability of results. Using AI, complex genetic patterns that may be invisible to the human eye can be identified, providing deeper insights into the human genome.
The impact of AI in DNA analysis is clearly evident in many biological applications. In the field of forensics, artificial intelligence can quickly and accurately analyze genetic evidence, helping to identify criminals and speed up the investigation process. In personalized medicine, artificial intelligence is used to analyze individual genomes, providing personalized medical recommendations that include appropriate drug treatments based on the genetic makeup of the patient. This type of analysis could lead to improved health outcomes and the development of new treatments for genetic diseases.
Despite the great benefits that artificial intelligence offers in DNA analysis , there are challenges and ethical considerations that must be taken into account. These challenges include protecting privacy, as DNA analysis requires the collection and preservation of sensitive data, which raises concerns about privacy and data protection. In addition, AI algorithms may contain biases that lead to inaccurate or unfair results, so these algorithms must be reviewed and updated regularly. To ensure the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence in this field, clear legal and regulatory frameworks must be put in place that protect the rights of individuals and ensure transparency in the use of this advanced technology.
