Human Monkeypox (MPX) is an emerging virus with potential implications for oral care and dental practice.<br />Common symptoms of monkeypox include mucocutaneous lesions, often affecting the oral cavity and perioral tissues first, and cervical lymphadenopathy. Therefore, opportunistic oral screening of at-risk individuals should be advocated as part of the routine examination to contribute to early diagnosis and timely containment of MPX.<br />
