In order to achieve the slogan "Towards a Sustainable University" and to achieve the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Well-Being) and the fifth goal (Gender Equality), the Department of Anesthesia Techniques, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit, held a lecture on 01/09/2025 entitled (The Role of Women in Society and Violence against Women) delivered by the student Zahraa Thaer Basem from the first stage and under the supervision of Dr. Roaa Nashat Al-Saffar. It addressed the role of women in social and economic life and their important role in family stability and raising future generations. It also shed light on the importance of strengthening women's rights and improving their status in societies, with the need to combat violence against women and promote gender equality.
