AL Mustaqbal University (Women's Affairs Division), in collaboration with the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, organized a plecture titled "Zaha Hadid: An Icon of Creativity and Women's Leadership in Global Architecture." This lecture was held as part of the implementation of the pillar of participation and institutional reform (Clause No. 8). <br /><br />The workshop was presented by **Assistant Lecturer Ghadeer Haidar Abbas** and **Engineer Noor Adnan Madlul**, under the supervision of **Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul Jabbar**, Head of the Women's Affairs Division, on **January 28, 2025,**, with the participation of the Women's Affairs Unit in the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering. <br /><br />The workshop aimed to enhance women's skills in the field of architectural engineering by taking **Zaha Hadid** as a role model in breaking traditional molds and introducing bold and innovative designs. It also sought to pave the way for women in the fields of engineering and design, inspiring and encouraging them to enter professions that were traditionally male-dominated. <br /><br />Additionally, the workshop emphasized the importance of **highlighting the role of women in innovation and change**, presenting successful models as a source of motivation to raise aspirations. It reinforced the **competence of women in overcoming barriers** and demonstrated that success and excellence are not exclusive to men. Women are capable of **transforming reality and achieving the impossible** by leaving their own creative mark. <br /><br />The success of Zaha Hadid serves as an inspiration for women across all fields. The workshop successfully contributed to achieving the **fifth and ninth Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).**
