The English Language Department at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized elections to select a student representative for the academic year. The elections were held under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Lecturer Dr. Salam Hassan Maki Al-Asadi, and the Department Rapporteur, Assistant Lecturer Rasha Ihsan Saadoun.<br />These elections aim to enhance student engagement in both academic and administrative processes, contributing to the improvement of educational quality (Goal 4: Quality Education). By selecting a representative, students are given a greater role in voicing their peers' concerns, thereby developing leadership and communication skills. Additionally, the student representative plays a vital role in improving the university environment and fostering stronger cooperation between students and faculty members.<br />The elections also reflect the university’s commitment to good governance and justice (Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by empowering students to make their own decisions and participate in choosing a representative who truly speaks for them. This democratic experience promotes values of democracy and human rights within the university campus.<br />The elections witnessed a high turnout, with students enthusiastically participating in the voting process, demonstrating their awareness of the importance of democratic practices in their university life. At the end of the electoral process, the results were announced, and the elected representative was honored and officially assigned the role of representing the students.<br />The English Language Department continuously emphasizes the significance of student participation and interaction, ensuring that students have the opportunity to make decisions that shape their academic journey.
