Under the supervision of the President of the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an instructional seminar titled **"Awareness Program to Combat Smoking – The Silent Killer."** <br /><br />The seminar was delivered by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hamza Al-Maamuri, with the participation of the Department’s Rapporteur and Head of the Educational Guidance Committee, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mujtaba Abdul-Kadhim Flaih. It was attended by students of the department, as well as faculty and staff members, including Asst. Lecturer Muntadhar Saleh Mahdi and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan. <br /><br />The event took place on **Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Medical Building / Prosthetics Laboratory. ** <br /><br />The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking and its negative impact on public health, while also providing necessary advice and guidance on quitting this harmful habit.
