A seminar titled "Causes of Violent Extremism and Ways to Combat It" was held at Al-Mustaqbal University, presented by Dr. Maitham Nabil Muqaddad, Head of the Smart Medical Systems Department, with the participation of Dr. Mahdi Abadi Mani, Head of the Smart Medical Systems Department. The seminar aimed to shed light on the various reasons that lead to the emergence of violent extremism, as well as to explore effective methods for combating it, with a focus on the role of technology and medical systems in addressing this phenomenon.<br /><br />In his lecture, Dr. Maitham discussed the psychological and social factors that may contribute to individuals being drawn into violent extremism. He also examined the role of education in preventing extremist ideologies, stressing the importance of fostering critical thinking among individuals and raising societal awareness about extremist ideas. He emphasized the importance of providing an educational environment that encourages tolerance and acceptance of others.<br /><br />For his part, Dr. Mahdi Abadi Mani spoke about the role of smart medical systems in treating the psychological effects that may contribute to reinforcing extremist thoughts. He pointed out that these systems can offer psychological and emotional support to individuals facing mental challenges that may lead them toward extremism.
