Smart devices have become an essential part of the future of prevention and home healthcare, allowing individuals to monitor their health easily without frequent hospital visits. These devices provide real-time data that help in the early detection of health issues, improving quality of life and reducing the burden on healthcare systems.

Among the most important devices in home healthcare are smartwatches, blood pressure and glucose monitors, and smart scales that offer precise analysis of vital signs. Wearable devices also track physical activity and sleep quality, helping users adopt healthier daily habits.

Despite their significant benefits, these technologies face challenges related to data accuracy, as not all devices provide 100% reliable results. The high cost of some devices also makes them inaccessible to everyone. Additionally, awareness of using these technologies remains low in some communities, requiring greater efforts to promote digital health literacy.

For a more sustainable future, efforts should focus on developing more accurate and affordable smart devices, as well as enhancing integration between these devices and healthcare systems to ensure effective use of health data. With continuous technological advancements, smart devices will become a fundamental component in improving preventive healthcare and home-based medical care.
Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
