The Sustainability Ambassadors team from the Forensic Evidence Department organized a volunteer awareness campaign at the Diabetes Hospital in Diwaniyah, under the supervision of Asst. Lecturer Howaida Nazal Hussein. The campaign aimed to raise awareness among patients and their families about diabetes, its prevention, and proper management.<br /><br />The campaign included the distribution of educational brochures highlighting the importance of a healthy diet, regular exercise, and adherence to medical guidelines to maintain stable blood sugar levels. It also emphasized the connection between diabetes awareness and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:<br /> • Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by promoting awareness of chronic diseases and the importance of preventive measures.<br /> • Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering collaboration between academic institutions and the healthcare sector to spread knowledge and create a positive impact in the community.<br /><br />This initiative is part of a series of activities aimed at engaging students in community service and reinforcing their role in promoting sustainable health practices.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University – The First University in Iraq
