Under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Building and Construction Technologies Engineering, Dr. Mayada Wahid Falah, and in alignment with Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, the Sustainability Team at Al-Mustaqbal University, College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Department of Building and Construction Technologies Engineering, led by Dr. Bareq Ali Abdulhadi, along with third- and fourth-year students, conducted a field tour to the Hillah Municipality Directorate and various locations along the Shatt Al-Hillah.<br /><br />The purpose of this activity was to collect data related to the city's urban master plan and conduct a visual inspection of the river. The gathered data will enrich our sustainability project with accurate and well-documented information, including field images.<br /><br />Our team's project aims to review several aspects of the city's urban design, such as:<br /><br />The ratio of green spaces to urban areas<br />Levels of pollution and drought<br />Waste management strategies<br />Analyzing this data helps assess how well the existing design aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goals 6, 9, 11, and 13.
