Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the esteemed President of Al-Mustaqbal University,<br />and in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit,<br /><br />The College of Science – Forensic Evidence Department organized a voluntary awareness campaign on bullying and its negative effects on students and society, supervised by:<br /> • Asst. Lecturer Fatima Tawfiq Al-Khuzaie – Head of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance in the College of Science.<br /> • Asst. Lecturer Fatima Habib – Member of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Committee in the Forensic Evidence Department.<br /><br />The campaign aimed to raise students’ awareness about the dangers of bullying in all its forms—verbal, physical, cyber, and social—due to its harmful impact on mental health, academic performance, and social relationships. Informational brochures were distributed, offering guidance on how to handle bullying, the importance of reporting cases within the university, and promoting values of respect and tolerance among students to ensure a safe and supportive university environment.<br /><br />The Campaign’s Role in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<br /><br />This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:<br /> • Goal 4: Quality Education – Creating a bullying-free educational environment helps students focus and excel academically without psychological distress.<br /> • Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being – Raising awareness about bullying contributes to improving students’ mental and social well-being.<br /> • Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – Promoting a culture of respect and cooperation fosters a more just, peaceful, and inclusive academic community.<br /><br />Through this campaign, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment that nurtures students both psychologically and academically.
