Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies are emerging tools that significantly contribute to the development of sustainable education by providing interactive and innovative learning environments that enhance understanding and broaden students' horizons. By using these technologies, students can experience immersive learning that mimics real-world situations, improving their ability to grasp information more effectively and making education more enjoyable and impactful.

Virtual reality helps simulate environments and educational scenarios that are otherwise inaccessible in real life, such as practical experiments in science or visits to historical and cultural sites. These experiences make educational content more interactive and realistic, allowing students to better understand complex concepts with ease.

On the other hand, augmented reality enables the integration of digital content with the physical world around students, enriching their learning experience by adding layers of interactive and informational elements that enhance lesson comprehension. For example, students can use AR applications to visualize chemical reactions or explore various ecosystems, facilitating deeper and more accurate learning.

By incorporating VR and AR technologies into curricula, the effectiveness of sustainable education can be enhanced, making learning more inclusive, improving education quality, and making the teaching process more sustainable.
Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
