Sustainability Ambassadors in the Forensic Evidence Department Organize an Awareness Campaign on Social Media Addiction

The Sustainability Ambassadors in the Forensic Evidence Department organized a voluntary awareness campaign to highlight the dangers of social media addiction and its impact on mental health, under the supervision of Fatima Tawfiq and Fatima Habib.<br /><br />The campaign included distributing awareness brochures and engaging students in discussions about the negative effects of excessive social media use, such as addiction, social isolation, depression, and sleep disorders.<br /><br />This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: “Good Health and Well-being” by promoting awareness of mental health, and Goal 4: “Quality Education” by spreading knowledge about responsible technology use. It also contributes to Goal 16: “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions” by mitigating the negative impact of technology on social interactions.<br /><br />The campaign received significant engagement from students, who expressed their interest in digital awareness and the importance of maintaining a balanced approach to social media use in their daily lives.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University – The First University in Iraq
