Part of its initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University College carries on training students on sustainable energy industry. Accordingly, fourth year students of the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Department have participated in an interactive online training course on “Wind Energy Technologies”, which has been organized by the British University in Egypt for five days between 23rd & 27th of May 2021. The course has included the following topics:<br /><br />1. Introduction to Wind Energy<br />2. Important Concepts of Wind Energy<br />3. Aerodynamics of Wind Turbine Blades<br />4. Wind Micro-Siting<br />5. International Standards – Wind Turbines<br />6. Using techno-economic software model for wind energy projects<br />It is remarkable to note that more than 100 persons from different Arab countries have participated in the course. This initiative indeed is part of the directives given by Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of the College within the frame of activating and supporting projects of sustainability in the College.<br />At the end, the students of the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Department have received a “Certificate of Participation & Pass” in the training course.<br />All the best for our students wishing them constant success in their scientific and practical career.
