Under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, a group of professors held a workshop on: The First International Conference for Sustainability Leaders organized by the UI Green Metric Foundation.<br /><br />The workshop was presented by the members of the joint delegation:<br /><br />Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul – Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies<br />Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi – Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Department, and Assistant Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies<br />Prof. Dr. Tariq Jawad Kazem – Director of the Scientific Affairs Department<br />The objectives of the workshop focused on promoting the concept of sustainability in universities through:<br /><br />Defining sustainability in higher education and the importance of integrating it into university strategies.<br />Implementing sustainable environmental practices in engineering designs and infrastructure.<br />Enhancing academic quality as part of institutional sustainability.<br />Developing academic policies that support sustainability and align with environmental and social goals.<br />Promoting collaboration between universities to exchange experiences in implementing sustainability strategies.<br />The workshop aimed to raise awareness and develop sustainable strategies in higher education.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq.<br /><br /><br /><br />
