As part of efforts to promote health awareness among students and the community, the Sustainability Ambassadors in the Forensic Evidence Department organized a voluntary awareness campaign on the dangers of smoking under the supervision of Asst. Lect. Fatima Tawfiq and Asst. Lect. Howayda Nazzal, with the participation of a group of students from the Forensic Evidence Department at Al-Mustaqbal University.<br /><br />Campaign Objectives:<br /><br />This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:<br /> • Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by raising awareness of the health risks associated with smoking.<br /> • Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by promoting a smoke-free and healthy environment.<br /> • Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, by reducing tobacco consumption and its harmful effects.<br /><br />Campaign Activities:<br /> • Distribution of informative brochures containing facts about the negative effects of smoking on public health, its impact on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, and its environmental hazards.<br /> • Open discussions with students about the dangers of smoking, ways to quit, and healthy alternatives for maintaining a smoke-free lifestyle.<br /> • Awareness posts on social media, sharing key information to reach a wider audience within the university and beyond.<br /><br />This campaign highlights the crucial role that students can play in spreading awareness and fostering a healthier university environment. It contributes to building a generation that is more conscious and responsible for their health and the well-being of their society.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University – The First University in Iraq
