In Iraq, health awareness levels vary among pregnant women due to factors such as education, economic status, and access to healthcare services. This study aims to highlight the impact of health awareness on maternal and fetal health and the challenges faced by pregnant women in accessing health information and services.<br />Health awareness during pregnancy leads to:<br /><br />1. Improved nutrition, reducing malnutrition and anemia risks.<br />2. Reduced likelihood of pregnancy complications, such as hypertension and gestational diabetes.<br />3. Enhanced adherence to prenatal care and necessary vaccinations.<br />4. Increased awareness of the importance of hospital deliveries over unsafe home births.<br /><br /><br />Studies indicate that many pregnant women in Iraq lack health awareness due to:<br /><br />1. Limited education, hindering understanding of health information.<br />2. Insufficient awareness campaigns targeting rural areas.<br />3. Social and cultural barriers limiting women's access to healthcare.<br />4. Limited access to specialized healthcare services.<br />1. Enhance awareness campaigns through media and social networks.<br />2. Provide educational programs in healthcare centers on nutrition and prenatal care.<br />3. Improve access to healthcare services, especially in rural areas.<br />4. Offer financial support or facilities for pregnant women to access necessary healthcare.<br />5. Engage families and communities in promoting health awareness during pregnancy.<br /><br /><br />Health awareness is crucial for the health of pregnant women and their fetuses.
