Visual identity design is one of the most essential elements in building any brand, as it reflects its values and message to the public. In the era of sustainability and rapid environmental changes, a new trend has emerged in the world of design that aims to create sustainable visual identities that respect the environment and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Sustainable visual identity design is not only about aesthetics but also about applying thoughtful methods and techniques that help reduce the environmental impact caused by design, printing, and usage processes. Some of these methods include using natural and calm colors that reduce ink consumption, adopting simple and clear fonts that do not require large amounts of printing, and minimizing unnecessary decorative elements.

Moreover, sustainable design encourages the use of eco-friendly materials such as recycled paper or biodegradable substances, along with modern printing techniques that save energy and water. This approach directly supports SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).

Embracing the philosophy of sustainable visual identity design contributes to raising environmental awareness among the audience and enhances the organization's image as part of the solution rather than part of the environmental problem. This, in turn, increases customer trust and respect.

Al-Mustaqbal University the first university of Iraq .
