As part of its scientific activities aimed at enhancing students’ awareness of digital security and sustainable development, the Department of Communications Engineering Technologies – College of Engineering – Al-Mustaqbal University organized an outstanding awareness lecture titled “Cyberattacks and Their Impact on Communications.” The lecture was delivered by student Atheer Yaseen Hamza, under the academic supervision of Assistant Lecturer Tamam Ali Abdul Abbas Al-Abidi, Head of the Sustainability Committee in the department.<br /><br />The lecture shed light on the nature of cyberattacks, methods of network intrusion, and their impact on modern communication systems. It also presented sustainable technological solutions to confront these challenges, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:<br /><br />Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure<br /><br />Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions<br /><br />It is worth noting that this event was closely followed and directly supported by Assistant Lecturer Tamam Al-Abidi, who heads the department’s Sustainability Committee and is considered one of the most prominent scientific and leadership figures. He has played a vital role in embedding sustainability concepts and integrating them into the academic and research pathways of the department’s students.
