As part of the International Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week, the ambassadors of the Smart Medical Systems Department at Future University launched an awareness campaign titled "Drugs Destroy Your Life... Stay Away!", aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its harmful effects on individuals and society.<br /><br />The campaign featured a variety of educational and interactive activities targeting students and visitors. These included distributing informative brochures, presenting awareness materials, and organizing open discussions on prevention methods and ways to combat this dangerous phenomenon, with the participation of faculty and students from the department.<br /><br />The organizers emphasized that the campaign's goal is to promote both physical and mental health awareness among youth, and to highlight the individual's role in protecting themselves and their communities from the risks associated with drug abuse—aligning with sustainability goals in building a more conscious and secure society.<br /><br />This initiative contributes to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It supports Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages, by addressing health and psychological risks related to addiction. It also advances Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education by integrating awareness as part of the holistic learning process that equips students with knowledge and resilience. Additionally, it aligns with Goal 16, which seeks to promote peaceful and inclusive societies, by helping reduce crime and violence related to drug abuse and fostering a safer, more stable environment.<br /><br />This campaign is part of a series of initiatives led by the department’s ambassadors to promote social responsibility and help create a healthy and secure university environment that aligns with the aspirations of a sustainable Al-Mustaqbal.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University is the first University in Iraq.
