Educational Activity on Gas Chromatography Held by First-Year Students at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries

As part of the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ practical understanding of modern analytical techniques, a scientific activity was conducted focusing on Gas Chromatography (GC) — an essential method for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition. This technique plays a vital role in fields such as pharmaceuticals, environmental testing, and food and beverage analysis.<br /><br />The activity was supervised by Asst. Lecturer Hajar Haddad, Engineer Fatima Uday, and Engineer Ghusaq Abbas, who guided the students through the fundamental principles and applications of GC technology.<br /><br />The activity was carried out by first-year students Hassan Mohammed Ali Odeh and Sajad Mohammed Abdul-Hamza, who demonstrated excellent teamwork and a keen understanding of the topic.<br /><br />This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience to better prepare students for their academic and professional careers.<br /><br />
