Surgical robots are advanced technological systems used to perform surgical procedures with the assistance of precise robotic devices. The most famous of these systems is the da Vinci Surgical System, a device containing robotic arms that are fully controlled by the surgeon via a console.

The robot does not operate alone; the surgeon sits at a control platform and uses precise tools to move the robotic arms inside the patient's body. The device is equipped with a high-resolution 3D camera that provides a clear and precise view of the surgical site.
It consists of three main parts:
1. The console: Where the surgeon sits and controls the robot using tools similar to human arms.
2. The surgical arms: These are mounted on the operating table and move precisely to perform the surgeon's task.
3. The 3D camera: This provides a clear, magnified image of the surgical site on a screen in front of the surgeon.

The surgeon does not directly touch the patient, but rather manages the operation remotely via highly precise electronic control.
Advantages of Robotic Surgery:
1. Ultra-Precision:
The robotic arms can move with millimeter precision, making surgery safer and more effective.
2. Small Incisions:
This surgery requires only small incisions, reducing pain and scarring and speeding up recovery.
3. Less Bleeding:
Due to the precision in handling tissues and blood vessels, bleeding during the operation is significantly less.
4. Clear Vision:
The 3D camera provides an accurate, magnified image, helping the surgeon make accurate decisions.
5. Reducing Human Hand Error:
The robot does not shake, tire, or make mistakes due to fatigue, reducing the chance of errors during surgery.
The most common robotic surgeries are:
• Prostate surgery and tumor removal.
• Uterine surgery and fibroid removal.
• Heart surgery, such as valve repair.
• Bariatric and gastric bypass surgeries.
• Colorectal surgery.
• Kidney surgery, transplantation or removal
