Under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Techniques, the lecturers Asst. Lec. Sally Silan Hussein, Asst. Lec. Maryam Mohammed Musa, and Asst. Lec. Baneen Mohammed Hilal conducted an awareness activity titled "Sustainability in Construction."<br /><br />This initiative aligns with the eleventh goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities).<br />Sustainability in construction refers to the creation of buildings that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient, particularly in terms of energy and water consumption.<br />It aims to reduce pollution, utilize eco-friendly materials, and enhance the quality of life within the built environment.<br />Sustainable construction includes practices such as thermal insulation, solar energy utilization, and water recycling.<br />It is not merely a set of techniques, but rather a comprehensive architectural mindset that serves both people and the planet in the long term.<br />Sustainability has become an essential part of modern architecture in addressing environmental and economic challenges.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University – The First University in Iraq<br /><br />
