Microrobots represent a promising breakthrough in the medical field. These tiny devices are designed to perform precise tasks inside the human body, such as delivering drugs directly to targeted areas or carrying out complex surgical procedures at the cellular level. Thanks to advancements in precision manufacturing and artificial intelligence, these robots can operate in highly complex environments like blood vessels and internal organs, paving the way for less invasive and more accurate treatments.

These robots enable targeted drug delivery directly to affected cells, which increases treatment effectiveness while minimizing side effects on healthy tissues. They can also perform highly accurate tasks, such as removing damaged cells or collecting tissue samples, offering a safer and more precise alternative to traditional surgeries.

Microrobots are capable of conducting delicate interventions—such as removing small tumors or cleaning internal wounds—without the need for large incisions or complicated operations. This significantly shortens recovery time and reduces the risks associated with conventional surgery, such as infection or bleeding.

Despite their enormous potential, microrobots still face several challenges. These include developing safe and efficient manufacturing methods and ensuring that the robots can interact with the body’s internal environment without disrupting organ functions. However, as research and development continue to advance, microrobots are expected to become a core component of future medical practice.

Al-Mustaqbal University The First University in Iraq.
