The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping various sectors, and pharmacy education in Iraq is no exception. AI technologies offer unprecedented opportunities to enhance learning, improve student engagement, and prepare future pharmacists for the evolving healthcare landscape.

One key application lies in personalized learning. AI-powered platforms can analyze student performance, identify knowledge gaps, and tailor learning materials accordingly. This ensures that students receive targeted support and progress at their own pace. Virtual patient simulations driven by AI provide realistic scenarios for students to practice dispensing medications, counseling patients, and managing drug interactions in a safe environment.
Furthermore, AI can streamline administrative tasks for educators, freeing up valuable time for curriculum development and direct student interaction. AI-driven tools can assist with grading assignments, scheduling, and providing feedback.
However, the implementation of AI in pharmacy education also presents challenges. Ensuring equitable access to technology and adequate training for both students and educators are crucial considerations. Moreover, ethical implications surrounding data privacy and algorithmic bias need careful attention. Despite these challenges, the potential of AI to revolutionize pharmacy education in Iraq, ultimately leading to more competent and well-prepared pharmacists, is undeniable. Strategic investment and thoughtful integration are essential to harness the full benefits of this transformative technology.

Al-Mustaqbal University, the number one university in Iraq College of Pharmacy, the top among private colleges
