It harnesses the power of flowing water to generate electricity, offering a clean, safe, and reliable energy source that significantly reduces dependence on fossil fuels.<br />________________________________________<br />What Is Hydropower?<br />Hydropower is electricity generated by the movement of water, such as rivers, waterfalls, or through the controlled release of water from dams. The kinetic energy of flowing water is converted into electrical energy using turbines and generators.<br />________________________________________<br />Types of Hydropower Plants<br />1. Reservoir (Dam) Plants:<br />Store water behind large dams and release it to generate electricity when needed.<br />2. Run-of-River Plants:<br />Use the natural flow of rivers without large-scale water storage.<br />3.
