Introduction:
At a crime scene, biological fluids may be present that are not visually identifiable. Digestive enzyme analysis helps accurately identify the type of fluid.

Context:
Each body fluid contains distinct enzymes:

Saliva contains amylase

Urine contains urease

Semen contains acid phosphatase

Using special chemical reagents, the source of an unknown stain can be identified.

Forensic Application:

Determining whether a stain is saliva, blood, or semen

Supporting evidence in rape or violence cases

Confirming a person's presence at a particular location based on the type of fluid

Conclusion:
Enzyme analysis provides high accuracy in identifying biological fluids, enhancing the reliability of biological evidence in investigations.

Al-Mustaqbal University – The First University in Iraq
