Drone technology is considered one of the most important innovations that have reshaped the 21st century, as it has moved beyond the narrow military scope to become part of civil, commercial, and agricultural systems. With this wide expansion, the need arises to establish educational and academic programs that qualify a new generation capable of designing, operating, and employing drones in serving society. Justification for Inclusion in Education: Integrating drone technology into the curricula of universities and technical institutes represents a natural response to current technological transformations. The wide applications of drones in media, agriculture, scientific research, and logistics make it necessary to prepare specialized cadres who possess theoretical knowledge and practical ability to develop these tools. Proposed Program Structure: The program is based on a combination of theoretical study and practical training. The theoretical aspect includes courses such as: Introduction to Drone Technology, Principles of Aerodynamics, Electronics and Control Systems, Drone Programming and Artificial Intelligence, Aviation Laws and Regulations. The practical aspect includes laboratories for designing and assembling drones, in addition to applied projects to solve real-life problems using drones. Program Objectives: Provide students with skills in design, operation, and development. Link theoretical knowledge with practical application through research projects. Enhance innovation in the use of drones in civil and scientific fields. Raise students’ awareness of the legal and ethical aspects associated with this technology. Expected Outcomes: By the end of the program, the student will be able to build an integrated drone, program and operate it, and understand its legal and practical usage environment. He will also be qualified to work in advanced technology sectors, startups, and research institutions. An Innovative Educational Future: Integrating drones into higher education not only represents keeping pace with technological development, but also opens the door to new future specializations such as intelligent aerial robotics and digital agriculture. This program would make universities platforms of innovation that contribute to driving development and the knowledge economy.

Almustaqbal University, The First University in Iraq.
