Forensic evidence is no longer limited to fingerprints or DNA; electrical engineering has become a key factor in modern investigations. By analyzing electricity consumption patterns or tracing electrical networks at a crime scene, experts can deduce precise information about the timing of incidents or the devices involved.

For example, load analysis can reveal whether a particular device was turned on or off during the crime. Smart sensors can also document unusual activity in critical infrastructures. These applications promote justice and sustainability by supporting Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

Al-Mustaqbal University – the first university in Iraq.

SDGS
