The Forensic Science Department at the College of Science – Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign titled “Poverty is Not a Choice” with the participation of several faculty members and students, under the supervision of Asst. Lecturer Howaida Nazzal Hussein and Ms. Wqar Jfat Jassim.<br /><br />The campaign aimed to raise community awareness about the dangers of poverty and the importance of combating it through education, awareness, and empowerment, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).<br /><br />Organizers emphasized the vital role of universities and students in spreading social justice culture and inspiring collective efforts to build a society free of poverty, ensuring welfare and equality for all.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University – the first university in Iraq.<br/><br/><a href=https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/ar/poverty/ target=_blank>Goal 1</a>
