The Department of Medical Biotechnology – College of Science organized a scientific Hackathon titled “Genetic Mutation Detection”, with the participation of second- and third-year students, as part of an educational initiative aimed at enhancing students’ research and analytical skills in modern genetic technologies.<br /><br />The hackathon witnessed constructive and competitive participation from the teams, culminating in a final round between the second-year team and the third-year team. Both teams presented outstanding scientific projects that reflected creativity and deep understanding of genetic concepts.<br />At the end of the event, the third-year team was announced as the winner, earning first place for their exceptional analytical approach and innovative presentation.<br /><br />The event was attended by the Head of the Department, the Department Rapporteur, and a number of faculty members, along with the Head of Central Activities and the Head of Scientific Affairs, who commended the students’ performance, scientific enthusiasm, and spirit of positive competition.<br /><br />This activity is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to encourage scientific innovation and promote practical application of biotechnological and medical knowledge among students.<br /><br />“Al-Mustaqbal University is the number one university in Iraq.”<br/><br/><a href=https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/ar/education/ target=_blank>https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/ar/education/</a>
