This was followed by a speech delivered by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, on behalf of the university president. He emphasized that celebrating National Day represents a renewal of commitment and loyalty to the nation, and a commemoration of Iraq's glorious history since its declaration of independence in 1932, as the first Arab state to gain full recognition of its sovereignty. Al-Zuhairi pointed out that national identity is the cornerstone for building the future of modern Iraq, and that sustainable development can only be achieved through the efforts and creative minds of its loyal citizens. He called upon students to actively participate in the university's scientific and community initiatives, particularly the Future Ambassadors for Sustainability Camp scheduled for October 17th. Al-Zuhairi also praised the distinguished scientific and academic achievements of Al-Mustaqbal University, affirming that true patriotism is embodied in work, innovation, and community service, which the university translates into its vision and mission based on leadership and excellence. At the conclusion of his speech, the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, received a letter of thanks and appreciation from His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in recognition of his fruitful efforts that contributed to the university achieving advanced rankings in global classifications. The University President also honored a number of distinguished university leaders and professors in recognition of their contributions to the university's achievements in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for Sustainable Development, Energy, Scientific Research, Quality, and Academic Accreditation, as well as honoring the winners of the Sustainability Award. The celebration witnessed a remarkable participation from students of Safi Al-Din Al-Hilli Intermediate School and kindergarten, in a scene that embodies the university's openness to the community and its affirmation of its mission as a community university that transcends the boundaries of the campus, striving to instill values ​​of belonging and cultivate the concepts of sustainable development at all educational levels.
