The Department of Media at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific seminar on Saturday, October 25, entitled “Causes and Solutions for the Decline of the Agricultural Reality in Babylon Province.” The seminar addressed the key challenges facing the agricultural sector in the province and explored ways to revitalize it through scientific and practical solutions.
The seminar’s topics were presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hamza Abees Abd Al-Sadah, Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Mousa Khattar, and Asst. Lecturer Abdul-Kadhim Mohammed Sweid, who discussed the main factors contributing to the decline in agricultural production, including water scarcity, soil degradation, and limited governmental support for farmers. The speakers emphasized the importance of adopting modern irrigation technologies and implementing policies that support the agricultural sector.
The seminar aimed to highlight the agricultural potential of Babylon Province and the role of scientific research in developing it, thereby contributing to the achievement of food security and sustainable development.
