Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Rozan Salman, Dean of the College of Education, the Department of English, College of Education – Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an official visit to the College of Education, University of Babylon, as part of the ongoing preparations for the Future Ambassadors for Sustainability Camp, scheduled to take place on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18. The delegation was headed by Lect. Rasha Ihsan, the Department’s Rapporteur, accompanied by administrative staff members and a group of students. The purpose of the visit was to deliver an official invitation to Dr. Sadiq Mahdi Kazem, Head of the Department of English at the University of Babylon, along with distinguished faculty members and students, to attend and participate in the upcoming sustainability camp — an event that aims to promote awareness of sustainability and social responsibility among university students across Iraq. During the meeting, Lect. Rasha Ihsan expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and the spirit of collaboration shown by Dr. Sadiq Mahdi Kazem and the staff of the University of Babylon. She emphasized that this visit reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening academic partnerships and fostering joint initiatives that contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In turn, Dr. Sadiq Mahdi Kazem commended the efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University in organizing educational and community-oriented activities, noting that such initiatives play a vital role in enhancing students’ awareness of sustainability and their ability to be active contributors to Iraq’s development. At the conclusion of the visit, both sides affirmed their desire to continue cooperation between the two universities, emphasizing that such academic interactions embody the spirit of knowledge exchange, environmental awareness, and national responsibility, which are core values upheld by both institutions.
