The College of Education – Department of English Holds a Joint Workshop Entitled “Behavior and Etiquette in Dealing with the Teaching Staff”

Under the patronage of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Rozan Salman, Dean of the College of Education, the Department of English organized a joint workshop entitled “Behavior and Etiquette in Dealing with the Teaching Staff.” The session was presented by Dr. Salam Hassan Maki, Head of the English Department, and Lecturer Rasha Ihsan, the Department’s Rapporteur, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and students. The workshop aimed to promote mutual respect and academic integrity between students and the teaching staff, as well as to emphasize the importance of effective communication within the university environment to ensure a positive and collaborative academic atmosphere. During the workshop, Dr. Salam Maki discussed the academic and ethical standards of interaction within the university, stressing that showing respect toward the teaching staff reflects the student’s culture and civilized behavior. Meanwhile, Lecturer Rasha Ihsan addressed aspects of positive academic conduct, highlighting the importance of punctuality, attentive listening, and responsible participation in lectures and academic activities. The workshop also featured insightful discussions and valuable contributions from both students and instructors, which enriched the session with ideas aimed at strengthening cooperation and responsibility within the department. The session concluded with an affirmation from the department’s administration on the importance of continuing to hold such activities that help build students’ character and reinforce values of respect, discipline, and professionalism in the academic community.
