Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Rozan Salman, the Department of English at the College of Education organized a workshop titled “Charity Begins at Home,” presented by the Head of the Department, with the attendance of faculty members, administrative staff, and a group of students. The workshop addressed the concept of charity and its essential role in building a compassionate and cohesive society. The Head of the Department emphasized that the values of giving and generosity begin within one’s home and immediate environment before extending to the broader community. He also highlighted the importance of nurturing a spirit of cooperation and volunteerism among students to prepare them to be active and responsible members of society. The session witnessed fruitful discussions between students and faculty about various forms of giving and social responsibility, and how students can contribute to voluntary and community activities both inside and outside the university. At the conclusion of the workshop, the Head of the Department expressed his appreciation to all participants for their interaction and engagement, affirming that such activities play a vital role in enhancing students’ ethical awareness and reinforcing the values of kindness and cooperation.
