As part of the practical training program adopted by the College of Nursing at Al-Mustaqbal University, the Community Health Department, under the supervision of Dr. Ismail Mohammed Kazem Al-Saadi, organized a scientific field visit to Nader Health Center, with the participation of fourth-year students. The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical skills and connect theoretical knowledge with field application by allowing them to observe the workflow within healthcare institutions and understand the mechanisms of providing primary health care services to patients. It also provided an opportunity for students to closely explore primary health care systems, immunization programs, maternal and child health monitoring, and health record management procedures. During the visit, students toured various departments of the health center, learning about the duties of nursing and medical staff. They also participated in performing basic nursing procedures under the supervision of their instructors. The health center’s administrators praised the students’ discipline and readiness, emphasizing the importance of such visits in preparing a generation equipped with professional skills and capable of serving the community efficiently. Faculty members of the Community Health Department confirmed that this visit is part of a series of field training activities aimed at developing students’ competencies in public health and community nursing. This aligns with the college’s vision of graduating nurses who possess both scientific knowledge and practical experience to serve the local community with efficiency and responsibility. The visit concluded with the students delivering short awareness messages to patients about the importance of personal hygiene and preventing infectious diseases — a practical step that highlights the community role of the college and its students in promoting health awareness.
