Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Science, and under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sami Abdul-Hussein Habana, Head of the Department of Forensic Evidence, the Forensic Evidence Department organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Forensic Evidence in Establishing the Truth”, delivered by Lieutenant Assistant Lecturer Muhannad Khalil Hassan, with the attendance of faculty members and students. The workshop discussed the crucial role that forensic evidence plays in uncovering crimes and establishing legal facts, emphasizing the scientific analysis of physical evidence, fingerprint examination, and crime scene investigation using modern forensic technologies. It also highlighted the significance of utilizing advanced scientific methods to support justice, transparency, and integrity within investigative procedures. In his remarks, the Dean of the College of Science stressed that such workshops are integral to the college’s mission of promoting applied education and linking theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing graduates equipped with the skills necessary to contribute to a safe and just society. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) embraced by Al-Mustaqbal University, particularly: Goal 4: Quality Education Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure At the conclusion of the workshop, participants expressed their appreciation to the lecturer and the department leadership for enriching the academic and practical knowledge of forensic students, reinforcing the university’s vision of advancing quality education, social justice, and sustainable development.
