Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Science, the College of Science organized a specialized workshop entitled “Student Information System (SIS)”, delivered by Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abadi Manaa, on the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2025. The session was attended by the Dean, Heads and Rapporteurs of Departments, and authorized academic representatives. The workshop provided a comprehensive explanation of the Student Information System (SIS) and its vital role in managing academic and administrative processes, including student registration, grade management, academic performance tracking, and improving the overall quality of educational services. Participants were introduced to the latest technological practices in system implementation and discussed ways to enhance it in alignment with Al-Mustaqbal University’s digital transformation strategy aimed at achieving academic and institutional excellence. In his remarks, the Dean of the College of Science emphasized that this workshop is part of a continuous effort to strengthen administrative and technical competencies among faculty and staff, in accordance with the university’s vision of adopting modern digital systems that support quality education and institutional sustainability. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the university, particularly: Goal 4: Quality Education Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions The session concluded with a productive discussion between the lecturer and participants, who exchanged insights and recommendations on improving the SIS framework to enhance the academic and administrative efficiency of the College of Science.
