The Department of Medical Biotechnology, College of Science, University of Al-Mustaqbal, organized a student scientific workshop entitled: 🔬 “Qualitative Analysis of Lipids” The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Sajaa Jawad Obeid for second-year students. It focused on the scientific principles of lipid analysis in biological samples and the qualitative methods used to identify different types of lipids through specific chemical tests. The session included a practical demonstration of lipid detection reactions using a variety of chemical reagents, along with hands-on laboratory activities designed to enhance students’ applied understanding of the subject. The lecturer also emphasized the importance of understanding lipid properties and their biological roles in tissues and living cells, as well as their medical and nutritional significance. At the end of the workshop, students expressed their appreciation for the engaging and informative session, which effectively combined theoretical knowledge with practical application.
