As part of its commitment to community engagement and promoting health awareness, the College of Nursing at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a field visit to Babylon Maternity and Children’s Hospital as part of an awareness campaign marking World Breastfeeding Week.
This initiative was carried out under the direct guidance of the University Presidency and the College Dean’s Office, and supervised by Dr. Ismail Mohammed Kazem Al-Saadi, Dr. Rehab Faleh Al-Shukri, Ms. Raneem Al-Ali, and Mr. Hassan Najm, with active participation from the College of Nursing’s Sustainability Ambassadors.
The campaign included providing mothers with health guidance on the benefits of breastfeeding and its role in promoting both child and maternal health. Educational brochures were distributed, and interactive discussions were held to address participants’ questions. The campaign also focused on correcting misconceptions and encouraging proper practices in accordance with global recommendations.
The College of Nursing team affirmed that this visit is part of a series of activities aimed at supporting the local community, strengthening health awareness culture, and empowering students to apply their professional roles in ways that serve the healthcare reality in the province.
